Treatment Options
Whether it’s in-person, through tele-therapy, or in a group setting, your therapy should work for you. We offer a few methods for receiving treatment.
Individual, In-Person
At Sweetgrass, we recognize that what brings each person through our doors is unique. That’s why we don’t have a one-size-fits-all model. We are here to help people discover their brightest and most meaningful selves, and will follow your lead on the path towards wellness. Our team knows that everyone does benefit from compassion, respect, understanding and support and you can be sure you’ll receive that on your journey with us.
We all come from different walks of life, and carry with us our own experiences, insight and lens with which we interpret the world around us. Therapists at Sweetgrass not only honor where you are on your journey, but have a dynamic variety of tools and approaches to guide their clients toward the lives they want to live. Our expertise encompasses knowledge of human development at all levels, as well as many of the fundamental aspects of the human experience including trauma, grief, relationships, vulnerability, shame, emotional regulation, Autism, addiction, and suffering. These elements - experiences which unite us all - guide our work as together we unpack your history, make sense of your story, and find meaning in your pain. Together, we will let you heal from the past, as you move toward a more successful future.

Group
As humans, we rarely do things in isolation. For many, then, it feels strange to do the work of healing alone. Group therapeutic options are available to folks who want to engage with others while on their journey toward mental wellness. When we enter a therapeutic group, we open ourselves up to learning about different perspectives, deepening our capacity for connection and empathy, and understanding how others experience and perceive us. Group therapy opportunities include groups for parents, those struggling with addiction, those looking to change unhealthy relationship patterns, and those coping with loss.
Mental Fitness Training
Many of us seek out therapy because we believe we aren’t functioning at our best. The journey to mental wellness doesn’t necessarily look the same for everyone. In fact, while everyone can certainly benefit from one-on-one therapy, it isn’t necessarily what everyone needs. Many folks who come to us for mental health development are in need of cultivating skills and tools that they haven’t yet learned along their path. Because emotional regulation, meditation, relationship skills, and coping aren’t taught in most academic settings, most of us have never learned these skills. Our mental fitness offerings provide participants with the tools and support they need to grow and learn at their own pace.
Tele-Health
For those individuals in remote areas or who face other obstacles to in person care, we offer telehealth. Telehealth is a secure online video conference in which you and your provider meet privately just like you would for in-person therapy. During the global pandemic, we are offering all sorts of options for folks while still honoring the shelter-in-place guidelines. We have texting, phone, and video options depending on what you need and prefer. Our professionals are licensed and skilled at helping folks cope with anxiety, trauma, grief, and depression and even if you have never done therapy before but don’t think you necessarily need on-going therapy, a session or two of virtual therapy might help you.
