2026 Rate Change Announcement
Dear Valued Client,
We want to start by simply saying thank you. Whether you've been with us for years or just started your journey with our practice, we're grateful for the trust you place in us, and we don't take that lightly.
We're writing today to let you know that, effective August 1, 2026, we will be making a modest adjustment to our session rates. This is the first rate change we've made in over three years, and it reflects the rising costs of providing the quality, individualized care you deserve, while keeping our rates in line with current industry standards.
Here's what's changing:
Master's-Level Clinicians (LCSW, LCPC)
Initial Evaluation is changing from $180 to $200
Standard Session is changing from $165 to $185
Doctoral-Level Clinicians (PsyD)
Initial Evaluation is changing from $225 to $250
Standard Session is changing from $210 to $225
If you're unsure which rate applies to you, your provider's credentials are listed on your billing statements and on our website or you're welcome to ask our practice manager Larissa directly at hello@sweetgrasspsychological.com
What this means for you
We know any mention of a rate change can feel unsettling, so we want to be as clear as possible about how this will actually affect your care:
• If you pay a copay: Your cost will not change. Copays are set by your insurance plan, not by our rates, so this adjustment has no effect on what you pay at each visit.
• If your insurance pays under our new rate: Most insurance plans have a contracted "maximum allowed amount" that is already below our new rates. If that's the case for your plan, you won't see any change at all.
• If you have a deductible or are a self-pay client: You may see a modest increase, since these costs are based on our session rate. We recognize this is the group most directly affected, and we want you to know this decision wasn't made lightly.
