Therapist and Addictions Counselor
Colleen Davis-Timms earned her Master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Denver and worked in rural mountain communities in Colorado, primarily in the field of addictions, before moving to Montana.
Colleen joined Sweetgrass in 2020 as a licensed professional counselor and licensed addictions counselor. She is warm and empathic, building trust with her clients through consistency and dependability. Clients often find her approachable and non-judgmental. Colleen is goal-oriented and works well with individuals who need a gentle but effective nudge toward identifying and changing maladaptive behaviors. She integrates approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Colleen works with individual adolescents and adults, as well as couples. She specializes in supporting those with a trauma history and individuals navigating addiction challenges. Colleen sees clients in our Columbia Falls location and remotely via telehealth.
