Dr Caroline Williams, PSYD

Psychologist

Caroline (she/they) is a clinician whose work is informed by psychodynamic and emotion-focused modalities. She draws on approaches that emphasize the impact of relationships, the power of compassion, and the influence of social and cultural factors in shaping a person's life. She completed her postdoctoral residency with us and currently works with Sweetgrass as an independent contractor.

Caroline’s areas of expertise include identity exploration, relational trauma, perfectionism, religious trauma, disordered eating, OCD, and self-criticism. In sessions, she collaboratively explores with clients how their early relationships and personal patterns shape their lives today. She gently invites clients to become more aware of their bodies and emotions, and incorporates imagery and compassion-based practices to support this process when it aligns with clients’ interests. She supports clients in finding strength and adaptability within the parts of themselves that feel painful, cultivating more helpful relationships with themselves and others.  Caroline fosters an environment where clients feel seen and heard, encouraging deep exploration and transformation in a supportive, empowering atmosphere.

Caroline works primarily with adults and welcomes clients from a wide range of backgrounds and identities. She offers both long and short-term therapy and is committed to providing accessible, affirming care as a telehealth clinician.
