Andrew Cockrell, Intern
Intern
Andrew Cockrell is in the process of earning his Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lock Haven University. Andrew joined Sweetgrass as an intern as part of his academic training. Andrew comes to the therapy room bringing with him a wealth of life experience as well as time working in the wilderness with youth.
Andrew is a quiet and patient person and clients will notice that they feel calmed in his presence. Andrew’s clients will find his warmth and casual approach welcoming and disarming. He is particularly skilled at working with adolescents who may need someone to hear them out without judgment or criticism. Andrew enjoys helping people work through life transitions, relationship challenges, and unhelpful family dynamics. His clients will be invited to examine their unhelpful beliefs and challenges in the spirit of discovering new ways of being.
Individuals working with Andrew will have access to his sliding scale as he develops his skills with excellent supervision and a robust training program. We strive to meet the needs of individuals community members by offering them therapy at a very affordable price and to the great community by training skilled and dedicated clinicians. He is supervised by Gaelen Engler, LCSW.
