Andrew Cockrell, Intern
Adolecent, Individual, and Couples Therapist
Andrew is devoted to supporting people who are experiencing life transitions, feeling stuck, or having difficulties or conflict in their close relationships. He works to help his clients shift their self-defeating patterns, and is excited to bring his expertise to those who are seeking more fulfillment and satisfaction out of life. Andrew believes that we are not well when we are out of alignment with our higher or innermost selves, which are shaped by our relationships and experiences over time. Andrew creates a warm, safe space where fears and discomforts can be seen without judgement, felt, and released. Andrew particularly loves working with individuals who feel ready to make changes in their life.
Andrew's fervent belief is that we all have an unwavering warm, bright light in our hearts. This is our inner knowing, our truth about who we are and what we need and love. Andrew's goal in his sessions is to discover what is keeping someone from being able to sense, and listen to, this inner guidance. He is confident that with the right tools and knowledge about oneself, we have the power to create the life and relationships that we long for.
Andrew began working with Sweetgrass in the spring of 2024, where he completed his internship while obtaining a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is now an LCPC Candidate, working towards full licensure, and under the clinical supervision of Dr. Sara Boilen. Andrew comes to the therapy room bringing with him a wealth of life experience as well as time working in the wilderness with youth.
Andrew sees clients at our Whitefish office and accepts BCBS, Allegiance, Cigna, First Choice, and Mountain Health Coop.
