Jeff Garretson recently earned his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. Jeff joined Sweetgrass as a practicum student as part of his academic training and is now a licensure candidate. He has honed in on his skills working with adolescents and their families at a therapeutic boarding school. 

Jeff is a warm human and his clients will feel immediately comfortable in his presence as he strives to provide a safe space for people to explore difficult feelings and experiences. Jeff’s clients will immediately notice his curiosity and genuine interest in their wellbeing. Jeff believes in starting with a person-centered approach, then delves into mindfulness, IFS, and/or somatic experiencing; depending on what feels right for the clientJeff offers free consultations to interested parties so that you can determine if he’s a good fit for you.
